Despite efforts to make a comeback, fitness struggles and off-field controversies hampered his progress. His recent setbacks included going unsold at last November’s IPL mega-auction and being left out of the Mumbai Ranji Trophy squad.
However, Shaw gave a glimpse of resurgence on Monday, smashing 75 runs off just 34 balls to lead the North Mumbai Panthers to victory over Suryakumar Yadav’s Triumph Knights Mumbai North East in the Mumbai T20 League. This was his first fifty in the tournament after a series of low scores (5, 5, 33, and 19) in previous innings.

En route to his impressive innings, featuring 12 fours and three sixes, Shaw built a crucial 62-run partnership for the second wicket with Arjun Jaiswal (nine off 12), followed by a supportive 30-run stand with Harshal Jadhav (46 off 30).
Shaw’s performance propelled his team to a formidable total of 208 runs. In response, Triumph Knights were bowled out for 169 runs.
The T20 Mumbai League 2025 league stage concluded with thrilling contests, setting the stage for the semifinals on June 10 at Wankhede Stadium. The top four teams—Bandra Blasters, Eagle Thane Strikers, SoBo Mumbai Falcons, and Mumbai South Central Maratha Royals—will compete in the semifinals, leading up to the grand finale on June 12 at the same venue.
