India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh have secured their spots in the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup 2025. Following an action-packed league phase, the next round is set to begin on September 20, featuring four of the region’s strongest sides.
In Group A, which included India, Pakistan, UAE, and Oman, Suryakumar Yadav’s India topped the table. Salman Agha’s Pakistan finished second after comfortable victories over Oman and the UAE, though they fell to India by seven wickets.
Over in Group B, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh advanced ahead of Afghanistan and Hong Kong. Charith Asalanka’s Sri Lanka dominated the group with three consecutive wins, collecting six points. They defeated Bangladesh by six wickets, Hong Kong by four wickets, and Afghanistan by six wickets to claim the top spot.
Bangladesh, having secured two wins and suffered one loss, ended the group stage in second place. Litton Das and his teammates claimed victories over Hong Kong by seven wickets and Afghanistan by eight runs, but fell short against Sri Lanka, losing by six wickets.
In the Super Four stage, all four teams will face each other once, resulting in a total of six matches. The top two teams on the points table will then advance to the final, set to take place on September 28 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
