He also scored his first century in IPL 2025 and became the youngest batsman to do so. The innings also set the record for the second-fastest century in the history of the league, surpassing Yusuf Pathan, who had earlier achieved the feat for the same franchise.

The video shared below is of the moment Suryavanshi broke several records to score his maiden IPL century. Rajasthan Royals chased down a target of 210 runs and won by eight wickets with 25 balls to spare. Of these, 101 runs were scored by the 14-year-old left-handed batsman.

Ashwin said, “It is not about his batting. I bowled a ball from around the stumps. He hit it towards the covers, and then I bowled a slow ball to see if he would be able to hit a big shot. But he just waited for the ball and shouted loudly for a run towards mid-on. I was thinking, what a thing, where has this boy come from, and he is 14 years old. I made my IPL debut 18 years ago.”
Suryavanshi, who recently played for India’s Under-19 team on the England tour, looked in very good form in the 50-over matches. In the five-match series, he scored 48, 45, 86, 143 and 33 runs. Now he will be seen on the Australia tour with the Under-19 team captained by Ayush Mhatre.
