It is worth noting that Chandrakant Pandit, one of the most successful coaches in domestic cricket, joined the KKR franchise as head coach in the year 2023. At the same time, Bharat Arun, who had served as bowling coach in the Indian cricket team from 2014 to 2021, was associated with the team in the year 2022. But now the franchise has decided to part ways with both these coaches by mutual consent.
However, under the leadership of both, KKR also won its third IPL title (2024). But, the three-time champion franchise has taken this decision due to the team’s mediocre performance in the last season of IPL. Last season, KKR finished the IPL 2025 points table at the 8th position. The team was able to win only five out of the 14 league matches played.
KKR’s campaign to defend the title under the leadership of new captain Ajinkya Rahane failed due to poor performance, missed opportunities and internal problems. After the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore was washed out due to rain, their playoff hopes were over. At the same time, the franchise has also shared an emotional post from its official Instagram account regarding Chandrakant Pandit’s separation from the team.
