Talking about the match, South Africa won the toss and decided to bat first. Australia scored 212 runs with the help of brilliant innings of Webster (72) and Steve Smith (66). In response, South Africa performed poorly in their first innings and collapsed for just 138 runs. In this way Australia got a lead of 74 runs.
In the second innings, Mitchell Starc played an innings of 58 runs for Australia, but the South African bowlers bundled out the Kangaroo team for just 202 runs. Now Africa had a target of 282 runs. Chasing the target, Aiden Markram batted brilliantly for the Proteas and scored his 8th century, scoring 136 runs in 207 balls with the help of 14 fours.
