RCB has left for Bengaluru from Ahmedabad on Wednesday morning
Garden City Bengaluru is all set to welcome IPL 2025 winner Royal Challengers Bangalore. It is worth noting that in the final of IPL 2025, RCB won the IPL title for the first time in 18 seasons by winning against Punjab Kings by 6 runs.
At the same time, after winning this trophy, the RCB team flew from Ahmedabad to Bengaluru on Wednesday morning and there was news of a victory parade celebration in the team’s open bus from Vidhan Souda in Bengaluru to M Chinnaswamy Stadium, but now this victory parade is not going to happen. This parade in the open bus has been canceled due to traffic and public safety concerns. Now only one felicitation ceremony will be held for the team at M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Earlier, RCB defeated Punjab Kings in a thrilling final in Ahmedabad and ended their 18-year-long wait for the IPL title. After this victory, there was a festive atmosphere in Bangalore and till late night the fans were seen celebrating by bursting crackers. Some viral videos have also been seen on social media regarding this.
RCB: Meeting also held with Karnataka Chief Minister
Earlier, after winning the IPL trophy, the RCB team had announced an open-bus parade, which was to start from 3:30 pm on June 4. After the team’s meeting with Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah regarding this parade, it was going to start from Vidhan Soudha and end at the iconic M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, where an honour ceremony was planned. However, just hours after the announcement, the Bangalore Traffic Police refused to allow the parade, citing security and traffic concerns.
Officials revealed that it would be extremely challenging to manage traffic on a one-kilometre stretch in the city’s Central Business District (CBD). Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) officials reportedly tried to negotiate an arrangement, but in the interest of public order, the parade has now been cancelled.
